Way to go…

“The PermaCommons Community Garden is a diverse mixture of perennial fruit and nut trees, berries, herbs, and aquatic plants that will, over time, become self-regulating and self-producing. To sustain the system the group offered training workshops and mentor apprentices to provide volunteers with the skills needed to maintain the garden. Produce grown in the garden was donated to food banks. The garden used grant funds to purchase perennial fruit-bearing trees and shrubs, and a rainwater storage system.”
