Join internationally renowned food activist and educator Simran Sethi to hear about the Open Food Network and how it puts control of the food system back in our hands.
The Open Food Network is an online marketplace that connects people to fresh local produce, through distributors that meet their unique needs. We’re trialling with early adopters over the next few months – come hear more about the project and how you can get involved!
We’ll be gathering at Shu’s restaurant for this very relaxed info session over a drink. Shu specialises in reinvented Sichuan cuisine using sustainable, seasonal and organic produce sourced from local farmers. They even regularly travel out to source farms to pick for themselves!
After the info and networking event, people are welcome to stay for a meal (bookings essential).
Open Food Network is supported by VicHealth through the VicHealth Seed Challenge.
Simran is an Associate at the Melbourne Sustainable Society Institute.
