Seeking the community’s feedback on the draft Council Plan for Yarra’s future until Thursday 16 May.
The needs, expectations and diversity of Yarra’s growing population are reflected in Council’s new four-year plan.
The draft Council Plan 2013-17 is a strategic document that puts forward a medium to long term vision for how Council will respond to the opportunities and challenges facing Yarra over the next four years.
It provides guidance on how Council will work to improve the amenity of residents, manage the challenges presented by population growth, provide support to vulnerable community members, protect and enhance Yarra’s heritage and culture and continue to reduce the city’s environmental footprint.
Linking in with the draft Budget, the Council Plan highlights key initiatives including environmental sustainability projects, community infrastructure improvement, strategic advocacy and creating new public open space.
Council is seeking the community’s feedback on the draft Council Plan until Thursday 16 May.
